Tara Miller – May 2017
1. Client Experience
When you or a loved one have been injured in an accident, your life can be turned upside down. Serious personal injuries, regardless of how they happen, often result in pain, grief, uncertainty, financial pressures and family hardship which can be a devastating burden. Our responsible, accessible and personalized legal services allow you to focus on recovery from your injury while your lawyer focuses on your legal rights. Our personal injury team includes lawyers and paralegals, all of whom are accessible to you to respond to questions or concerns quickly.
2. Lawyer Experience
MDW Law’s personal injury team is lead by Tara Miller, an experienced litigator with over 20 years of personal injury and court room experience. Having spent 12 years working for insurance companies, she is in a unique position to understand and effectively navigate the insurance system on your behalf.
MDW Law uses mediation/arbitration to avoid the wait time and costs associated with the traditional court system. However, we have the trial experience required to prepare and effectively present your case in court if a settlement is not possible without a trial.
3. Free Initial Consultation
We provide free, personalized and detailed initial lawyer-led consults to potential clients. These consults are a valuable tool in providing each client with information about the insurance process and its application to their unique claim. Expect to spend between 1 ½ – 2 hours during your initial consult with your MDW Law personal injury lawyer. Our clients find this is time very well spent as they leave empowered with information about whether they have a case and the journey ahead of them back to recovery, including a realistic estimate of how long it will take to settle their claim.
4. Contingency Fee Agreement
MDW Law accepts personal injury claims on contingency. This allows our clients to access high quality legal services without the burden of worrying how to pay for legal fees up front or on a monthly basis. A Contingency Fee Agreement for personal injury claims with MDW Law means we do not get paid legal fees unless and until we are successful in recovering compensation.
5. Detailed Assessment of Value of your Claim
When the time is right to resolve a personal injury claim, MDW Law provides each client with a detailed assessment of their damage entitlement based on their individual information and the current law in Nova Scotia. We take the time to ensure clients understand how the law applies to their respective situation so there are no surprises.
