About
Originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, Eryn has lived all over Canada. She grew up in Alberta, completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Memorial University of Newfoundland, and studied law at the University of Ottawa. In March, 2020, she packed up her cat and her car and drove from Ottawa to Truro to “wait out the pandemic,” but the laid-back charm of Maritime living enticed her to settle permanently.
Eryn has been devoted to practicing family law since she was called to the bar in 2023. She joined MDW Law as an associate lawyer in 2025 and practices in our Dartmouth office. She recognizes the intricacies involved in family relationships and how they are impacted by the legal process. Eryn works with each of her clients to provide personable and empathetic services, identify the unique needs of each client, and seek solutions that meet those needs in a way that supports ongoing family dynamics. Eryn is passionate about alternative dispute resolution, such as negotiation and mediation, but she also fiercely advocates for her clients’ rights and entitlements in court.
Outside of work, you can find Eryn hiking around the province, playing (or hosting) trivia at a local pub, or catching up on the latest prestige drama with her cats, Captain and Skipper.
